Judith Beck
Koreaa 2020
Judith Beck’s hit orange wine isn’t from the Land of Morning Calm, but a field in Gols, Austria that locals have been calling “Korea” since the 1950s. Over five Austrian grapes go into this field blend, all grown and harvested from that single vineyard before the wine is macerated for 3 days, aged in big used barrels, and matured on the lees. The result: an easygoing yet playful refresher more white than orange, with big notes of tropical fruit and citrus. Summer in a glass!

Rustic but refined, balanced but bold, crazy but careful— these are the words that define Judith Beck and her wines. She’s become one of our favorite producers, and one of Burgenland, Austia's rising stars.

Behind the Bottle
Literally living amongst her vines by lake Neusiedl, Judith Beck has developed a deep relationship with her vineyards. A respect for nature is paramount for Beck’s viticulture philosophy that also follows its way into her cellar. Low intervention with no filtering or fining, and minimal sulfites lead to very authentic wines that are true expressions of the multitude of terroirs across her 13.5 hectares of land.
