Rosé can be somewhat polarizing in a crowd of wine lovers, but this wild and rebellious take by Austria’s Judith Beck wins everyone over in the end. Made with handpicked and proudly biodynamic Pinot Noir and Saint Laurent, fermentation continues in the bottle for a fine fizz, and each one is disgorged by hand. It’s perfect on a sunny day with its refreshingly crisp strawberry and lemon sorbet notes, as well as just a tiiiny bit of residual sugar for subtle sweetness. Find someone who doesn’t enjoy this—we’ll wait.

Behind the Bottle
Literally living amongst her vines by lake Neusiedl, Judith Beck has developed a deep relationship with her vineyards. A respect for nature is paramount for Beck’s viticulture philosophy that also follows its way into her cellar. Low intervention with no filtering or fining, and minimal sulfites lead to very authentic wines that are true expressions of the multitude of terroirs across her 13.5 hectares of land.
