Currently one of the finest vignerons in Beaujolais, Jean-Claude Lapalu and his family started off as growers, selling grapes to various cooperatives in the region. Today, his minimal intervention winemaking style, using as little sulfites as possible result in highly nuanced, concentrated red wines that are beautiful expressions of terroir.
