Judith Beck
Pinot Noir 2017
Made from a notoriously finicky grape, Pinot Noir is able to thrive in the microclimate of Judith Beck’s Burgenland plots. Located in the middle of the fairly cool and windy Parndorf Plate, her plots of Pinot Noir have been organic and biodynamic since 2007. Spontaneously fermented in stainless steel tanks and aged in acacia wood, this wine is delicate but rustic, with loads of red fruit, supple tannins and a pinch of barnyard funk.

Behind the Bottle
Literally living amongst her vines by lake Neusiedl, Judith Beck has developed a deep relationship with her vineyards. A respect for nature is paramount for Beck’s viticulture philosophy that also follows its way into her cellar. Low intervention with no filtering or fining, and minimal sulfites lead to very authentic wines that are true expressions of the multitude of terroirs across her 13.5 hectares of land.
