La Sorga
Sorga Rouge 2019
Always the bridesmaid, never the bride. Most commonly used as a blending grape, Cinsault seldom gets top billing on a bottle. And yet here comes Anthony Tortul’s La Sorga and its display of the grape’s virtues: the Sorga Rouge is a beautiful study in contrasts, starting with soft ripe red berries on the nose before delivering plenty of structure and baking spice notes on the palate. Beautiful on its own, but also a crowd-pleaser at dinner parties.
