Le Coste
Vino Rosso Biologico 2019
A juicy wine from Lazio with tons of character, Le Coste’s ‘Rosso Biologico’ is their signature red. Made from organic vines of Sangiovese, Canniaolo, and Colorino on volcanic soils, it displays a distinct earthy personality with some savory notes balanced by its vibrant juiciness. Spontaneously fermented and aged in chestnut barrels, this wine is righteous and pushy just like your Italian waitress after you tried to order a cappuccino after lunch.

Behind the Bottle
Gianmarco and Clementine have farmed about 14 hectares of volcanic soils, rich in iron and minerals, near Lake Bolsena in Lazio, Italy since 2004. Today, the farm is tended with only the most natural and biodynamic ethos with olive groves, chestnut trees, and oak trees interspersed among ancient indigenous grapes.
Nothing is added at any stage, except for a minimal amount of sulfites in certain bottles, with spontaneous fermentation and aging occurring in steel, wood, and concrete.
