There are few winemakers today whose names are as synonymous with orange wine—as the man who started its popularity in Italy, Dario Princic is one of them. That said, this wine is something special indeed: 35 days of skin contact and 30 months of oak aging give this wine a lot of oomph: an intense amber color, not to mention earthy tannins, vibrant acidity, and beautiful spicy and nutty notes. Give this one some time to breathe.

Behind the Bottle
Following low intervention winemaking principles, Dario's wines are typically aged in large oak casks and are naturally fined for 6 months in steel tanks, with a small amount of sulphites added during bottling. He uses zero chemicals in his vineyards, instead relying on natural fertilizers with copper and sulfur for spray treatments.
