Sylvie Augereau
Réjouissances 2019
A very versatile wine capable of anything from red meat to white fish. Pineau D’Aunis is highlighted here as a vibrant, refreshing, energetic glass of red that screams summer. Ripe red berries and spices adorn the glass with some earthy, woody tones. Subtle tannins precisely balance the zippy acidity, showing finesse, expertise, and panache. Fancy AF while dangerously chuggable.

Behind the Bottle
Producing only 3000 bottles a year on her 1.5 hectares, Sylvie is all natural and biodynamic in both the cellar and vineyards — even expressing certain grapes in clay amphorae and Qvevri, following ancestral principles.
As a scholar and lover of natural wine, she knows exactly what she wants to make as a producer, and does it with skill, precision, and respect for her land and all who came before. She’s quickly become a natural wine icon in her own right.
