Christian Tschida
Non-Tradition 2016
A one of a kind Gruner Veltliner with a deep, dense, complex, and oxidative character with lots of body. Grapes are hand harvested, crushed by foot and spontaneously fermented with indigenous yeasts in wooden barrels with some barrels seeing a short amount of skin contact. Meaty but elegant, harmonious but funky, pronounced but agile. A mainstay on wine lists at some of the finest restaurants in the world, here it is in the Philippines, ready to blow your mind.

Behind the Bottle
Obsessive about his vines and soil, Tschida promotes other plant life and animal life in his vineyards so as not to upset the elegant balance and terroir that he has become internationally recognized for. Using his vertical basket press that extracts only the best juice from his grapes, he ferments spontaneously at ambient temperature in large wooden barrels with long aging periods. Bottles are always unfiltered and unfined.
