Not quite rock n roll, not quite smooth jazz, this red from Jura is unique in its expressiveness and sophistication. With red fruit, florals, and spice on the nose, smooth smokey tannins and good acidity, this wine is a bit more bold than other Gamay’s that we normally see. A bit wild when first opened, this benefits from good aeration.

Zeroine
Though she grew up helping her grandfather tend his vines in Jura, Maylis Bernard spent 16 years managing IT projects before she made a radical career change and started then-negociant label, now-micro estate Zeroine in 2018. Although small, it does not lack in quality or flamboyance, with each vintage presents new and interesting characteristics not common to wines from Jura.

Behind the Bottle
Vines of Gamay, Chardonnay, and Pinot Noir are grown organically and biodynamically on a 1 hectare property in Rotalier, Jura. In the cellar, Maylis Bernard is committed to crafting natural wines of exceptional quality, carefully crafting her small batch artisanal vintages.
Drawing on Jurassien legends like her partner Jean François Ganevat and his sister Anne, Zeroine is able to create fantastic and precise wines with low intervention principles that rival other cult figures in the region.
