Christian Tschida
Kapitel I 2019
Grapes are hand harvested, destemmed, and crushed by foot. The juice ferments in large wooden barrels with indigenous yeast and aged for about a year. Filtered and unfined, floral and juicy, this wine is super approachable and easy to drink. With zippy acid, short subtle tannins, and a little bit of spritz— this wine is low key like, super kinky.

Behind the Bottle
Obsessive about his vines and soil, Tschida promotes other plant life and animal life in his vineyards so as not to upset the elegant balance and terroir that he has become internationally recognized for. Using his vertical basket press that extracts only the best juice from his grapes, he ferments spontaneously at ambient temperature in large wooden barrels with long aging periods. Bottles are always unfiltered and unfined.
