Gut Oggau
Edmund (Weiss) 2018
A wild, eccentric, transient soul— Edmund is a distant relative of the Gut Oggau family who shows up unannounced every few years. While you always know his presence is fleeting, the longer you’re with him the more you become convinced of his approach to life. A blended white wine with some skin contact made from an unpruned and unplowed wild plot of grapes. A very rare bottle thats complex, wild, and charming—full of citrus and green fruit, with a touch of subtle tannins and long finish.

Gut Oggau
Stephanie and Eduard Tscheppe-Eselböck bought an old, abandoned 17th century vineyard in Burgenland, Austria in 2007. Instead of trying to change the winery, they discovered its natural potential. Each Gut Oggau bottle is distinct, world-class, and full of personality.

Behind the Bottle
After Stephanie and Eduard produced their first vintage, they were surprised by how much personality came through each barrel — and so the Gut Oggau wine family was born. Each bottle features a portrait of a fictional family member, communicating the differences in terroir through the portraits on the labels. Today, Gut Oggau is perhaps the most prolific and recognizable natural winery in the world.
