Vinyes Tortuga
Doolittle 2020
Now here’s something you don’t see every day: Barbera… from Spain! The folks at Vinyes Tortuga planted these traditionally Italian grapes in Rabós, Catalonia, taking the whole bunch of uncrushed grapes and giving them the carbonic maceration treatment before being pressed together into amfora and transferred into oak. The result: a light and bright wine juicy with blackberries and cherries, with notes of dried fruit and toasty walnuts.

Behind the Bottle
Dido & Jurriaan have worked for big industrial companies as well as for small boutique wineries but it was their time with Joan Ramon Escoda that really changed their approach to winemaking and introduced them to the world of natural wine. There they learned that in order to make good natural wine, they learned that the focus needed to be on the vineyard, working as naturally as possible to produce high quality grapes.
