Judith Beck
Weissburgunder 2019
Lake Neusiedl functions as a heat reservoir that stores the warmth of the sunshine during the day and releases it during the night. While this is well and good for ripening the red grapes, it can cause some problems with over-ripening for the whites. This Pinot Blanc sees a touch of skin contact and long aging in barrels to give the wine some extra structure. White florals, citrus, and white fruit are on full display while still being rooted in tradition.

Behind the Bottle
Literally living amongst her vines by lake Neusiedl, Judith Beck has developed a deep relationship with her vineyards. A respect for nature is paramount for Beck’s viticulture philosophy that also follows its way into her cellar. Low intervention with no filtering or fining, and minimal sulfites lead to very authentic wines that are true expressions of the multitude of terroirs across her 13.5 hectares of land.
