From perhaps the most influential winemaker in the Rhône valley comes a wine for wine geeks and the novices alike. Made mostly from Carignan, this wine has lots of ripe black fruit, woody tones and good acidity. Medium bodied with some dense tannins leads to a very food friendly wine. Best with steaks, mushroom risotto, braised things, and grilled sausages.
